Garlic Scape Pesto Pasta with Garlic Scape Garlic Bread



Garlic Scape Pesto

(makes 1 cup of pesto)

Ingredients:
1 cup garlic scapes (sliced 1/4 inch thick)
2 tablespoons pine nuts (toasted)
1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano (grated)
3 tablespoons olive oil
lemon juice to taste (optional)
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
1. Place everything into a food processor and blend.

Tip: If you find the garlic scapes to be too strong you can try blanching them before making the pesto to mellow out the flavour a bit.
